What is Bag Placing?
Bag placing is the step that keeps a packing line moving. Instead of an operator picking up and holding every empty sack under the weigher, an automatic bag placer takes a bag from the stack, opens it and presents it to the discharge cycle after cycle, all shift long. Agrimech's bag placers work with paper sacks, plastic sacks, and poly-banded nets for a range of products, including, potatoes, onions, animal feeds, powders and aggregates, and are built in-house in stainless steel for reliable, low-cost running season after season.

Genesis: Heavy-Duty Bag Placers
For high-volume lines where the placer has to keep pace with a fast weigher all shift. It handles 12.5–25kg paper and plastic sacks at up to 700 cycles an hour, and suits packhouses and larger farm operations running at full throughput.

Nemesis: Light-Duty Bag Placing System
A compact placer for lighter-duty lines and smaller packhouses. Up to 450 cycles per hour (dependent on weigher), bag sizes 7.5–25kg, and the widest packaging range paper*, plastic, poly-banded nets and sacks.
*Dependent on porosity of product.
Works With Your Existing Weigher
Already ready running a weigher you are happy with? Our bag placers can be fitted with a gripper head conversion kit to suit your existing weigher, so you can automate bag placing without replacing the rest of the line.

How fast are your bag placers?
Genesis runs up to 700 cycles per hour. Nemesis runs up to 450 cycles per hour, depending on the weigher it's paired with.
What bag types and sizes can your placers handle?
Genesis handles 12.5–25kg paper and plastic sacks. Nemesis handles 7.5–25kg bags in paper, plastic, poly-banded nets and sacks. Paper sack performance depends on the porosity of the product being packed.
What products can I pack with an Agrimech bag placer?
Our placers are used for a wide range of products including, potatoes, onions, animal feeds, powders and aggregates.
Can a bag placer work with my existing weigher?
Yes. We can fit a gripper head conversion kit to suit your existing weigher, so you can add automatic bag placing without replacing your whole line. Tell us which weigher you're running and we'll confirm compatibility.
What power and air supply does a bag placer need?
Both Genesis and Nemesis need a 16 Amp, 3-phase, neutral and earth supply. Bag machines require clean, dry air at a minimum of 8-bar for optimum performance.
What warranty and support comes with your placers?
Every Agrimech bag placer comes with a 12-month parts and labour warranty, and is backed by our Agri Care and Agri Link support services.
