Palletising

What is Palletising?

Palletising is the final step on the packing line. Every filled bag, sack, box or tray is stacked onto a pallet in a set pattern, so it's stable and ready for storage or transport. Instead of operators lifting every 25kg sack by hand, an automatic palletiser picks each pack with a gripper head and places it in the right position, pack after pack, all shift long.

Agrimech's palletising systems handle bags, sacks, bales, boxes, trays and nets for a wide range of products, including potatoes, onions, animal feeds, powders and aggregates, and are designed and built in-house by our Engineering team.

Our Palletising Range

High-Speed Palletisers

For high-volume lines where the palletiser has to keep up with a fast weigher, placer and stitcher all shift. Zeus runs at 10–40 packs per minute, depending on the model, and handles the widest range of packaging, from bags, sacks, bales and nets to boxes and trays. Automatic pallet infeed and exit lanes and a pallet de-nester come as standard, so empty pallets are fed in and full ones moved out automatically. Each machine also comes with a gantry and staircase, and a large touch screen that's easy to programme.

        Bag and Box Palletisers

For lines that don't need the speed of Zeus, Titan stacks 6–8 packs per minute in a cost-effective machine. Its ergonomic gripper head handles product gently to reduce the risk of damage, and it works with bags, sacks, bales, boxes and nets. A pallet de-nester, pallet exit lanes and pallet wrapping can be added as your line grows.

            Robotic Box Palletising

For box-packed produce, our Robotic Box Palletising System places up to 500 boxes an hour in any configuration or format. It has a compact footprint with a large working area, and is built with new robots only. We never use refurbished units. Conveyors, a roller track system and a vision system for product detection can be added to suit your line.

              Frequently Asked Questions

What does an automatic palletiser do?

An automatic palletiser takes each filled bag, sack or box as it comes off the line and stacks it onto a pallet in a set pattern, ready for storage or transport. It takes the heavy lifting away from your team, keeps every pallet stacked the same way and frees up the operator for other jobs.

Which palletiser is right for my operation?

It depends on your pack type and the speed you need to run at. For lines running up to 6–8 packs a minute, Titan is a cost-effective choice for bags, sacks, bales, boxes and nets. For high-speed lines, Zeus runs at 10–40 packs a minute, depending on the model, and handles trays as well. If you're stacking boxes, our Robotic Box Palletising System places up to 500 boxes an hour in a compact footprint. Tell our Team your pack type, product and target speed and we'll recommend the right machine.

How fast are your palletising systems?

              Speeds range across the line-up:

              • Zeus Alpha, Gamma and Sigma: 10–40 packs per minute
              • Titan Bag and Titan Box: 6–8 packs per minute
              • Robotic Box Palletising System: up to 500 placements per hour

Titan and Zeus speeds depend on the model selected.

What packaging can your palletisers handle?

Titan handles bags, sacks, bales, boxes and nets. Zeus handles all types of boxes, trays, bags, sacks, bales and nets. The Robotic Box Palletising System handles most types of boxes, in any configuration or format.

What products can I palletise with Agrimech?

Our palletising systems are used for a wide range of products, including potatoes, onions, animal feeds, powders and aggregates.

Do your robotic palletisers use new robots?

Yes. Every Agrimech Robotic Palletising System is built with new robots only. We never use refurbished units.

Can a palletiser handle empty pallets and wrapping too?

Yes. Zeus comes with automatic pallet infeed and exit lanes and a pallet de-nester as standard, so empty pallets are fed in and full ones moved out automatically. A pallet de-nester and exit lanes are available as options on Titan, and pallet wrapping can be added to both Titan and Zeus.

Are your palletisers safe to work around?

Every Agrimech palletiser is fitted with safety guarding and a safety light protection system, and moves product with smooth, controlled movements.

What power and air supply does a palletiser need?

Titan needs a 16 Amp, 3-phase, neutral and earth supply and cool, clean, dry air at a minimum of 7 bar (100 PSI). Zeus and the Robotic Box Palletising System need a 32 Amp, 3-phase, neutral and earth supply and air at a minimum of 8 bar (116 PSI).

What warranty and support comes with your palletisers?

Every Agrimech palletiser comes with a 12-month parts and labour warranty, and is backed by our Agri Care and Agri Link support services. A remote engineer link can be fitted so our Engineers can support you over an Ethernet connection.

Not Sure Which Palletiser Is Right for You?

ell us your product, your pack type and size, and the speed your line runs at, and our Team will point you to the right machine.
