What Is Agri Care? A Beginner's Guide to Agrimech's Machinery Service Plan

You've invested in a weigher, a bag placer or a palletiser to keep your packing line moving. The next question is how you keep that machine running at its best, season after season, without surprise bills or lost days in the middle of harvest.

That's exactly what Agri Care is for. If you've never heard of it, this guide explains what it is, what's included, what it costs and why it's worth having alongside your Agrimech equipment.

What is Agri Care?

Agri Care is Agrimech's annual service plan for your machinery. In simple terms, it's a yearly subscription that books you in for a regular service from one of our engineers, at a fixed price that includes travel to your site.

Think of it like a service plan for your car. Instead of waiting for something to go wrong and then calling someone out, you have a planned check-up once a year. Our engineer visits, services the machine, fits any software updates that are available and makes sure everything is running as it should.

Agri Care covers the full Agrimech range, including weighers, stitchers, bag placers, palletisers and robot palletising systems.

Why does regular servicing matter?

Every Agrimech machine is designed and built for durability, strength and a long working life. But like any hard-working equipment, it performs best when it's looked after.

On a packing line, one machine going down can stop everything behind it. A weigher that drifts out of accuracy gives product away in every bag. A placer or stitcher that isn't set up right slows the whole line. And a breakdown in the middle of a busy season costs far more than the repair itself.

A planned annual service catches wear and small faults early, before they turn into downtime. It keeps your machine accurate and running at full speed, and it helps protect the value of your investment for years to come.

What's included in Agri Care?

• An annual service. A regular yearly service of your machinery, carried out by an Agrimech engineer at your site.
• Fixed service costs, travel included. You pay an exclusive fixed rate for your annual service, and travel to your site is included, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
• Software updates. Any software updates your machine needs are applied when they become available.
• All consumables and PPE. Everything used during the annual service is covered.
• A staff training visit every year. One training visit per year is included, so your team knows how to get the best from the machine.

That last point matters more than it might sound. When we looked at our call-outs, we found that 91% were down to setting changes, user error or lack of training. A confident, well-trained operator is one of the best ways to avoid downtime in the first place.

What does Agri Care cost?

Agri Care is a yearly subscription of £250. On top of that, you pay a fixed annual service rate for your machinery:

Prices are based on a pre-booked annual service during normal working hours, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. A few things to know:

• Travel to sites more than 100 miles away carries an extra mileage charge.
• *Stitcher servicing excludes the stitching head. DS9 and NP7 stitching head servicing is priced on quotation, depending on condition.
• Service work outside normal hours is priced on quotation.

Agri Care and Agri Link: better together

Agri Care looks after the planned side of maintenance. Agri Link covers the moments in between.
